Living Wax Figure

2nd Grade Living Wax Museum
Friday, March 13, 2015
Ellenboro School Gym at 1:30 PM

Students in Mrs. Whelchel's and Mrs. Spurlin's second grade classes presented themselves as "wax figures" by dressing as a historical figure whom they had researched in class using iPads. The students remained frozen in place until their "button" was pushed, at which time they brought the person to "life" and recited five interesting facts they had memorized about the person. The historical figures represented were:  Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman, Henry "Box" Brown, Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges.

Students and teachers at Ellenboro Elementary, as well as parents and grandparents, toured the "museum."  Everyone enjoyed this event and learned some interesting facts.
